The pumping equipment block is designed for preliminary vacuuming of the plant and forced exceptions of oxygen (external atmosphere), during the supply of the electrode to the reactor chamber.
The FSM carbon black machine is equipped with a line of vacuum pumps of constant and variable action, two types:
- rotary vacuum pump
- booster pump
The rotary pump is designed to cut off oxygen to the reactor chamber through the electrode input chamber during the preparation of the plant for launch, and during the operation of the plant in the carbon black production cycles.
At all stages of the installation operation, this pump is in the on mode.
This pump is connected to the gas block ramp.
The pump is controlled via the START / STOP control panel.
Also, the second pump of this type is intended for primary vacuuming of the main volume of the installation, during the preparation for launch. This pump operates in a two-stage pre-installation mode:
- 1st mode - self-vacuuming of the unit to a value of 1.9-1.6 x 10(-1);
- 2nd mode - auxiliary vacuuming of the unit to a value of 8,7-2,0 x 10 (-3).
The pump can only operate in the mode of preparing the unit for start-up. At the stage of filling the internal volume of the installation with an inert gas, the pump can be switched off.
This pump is connected to the discharge flange of the booster pump and the inlet circulation line.
The pump is controlled via the START control panel/STOP and cut off by the slide gate.
Booster pump, intended to increase the depth of the required vacuum in the main circuit of the installation, as well as the circulation of the medium in the process of carbon black production. This pump improves the performance of the rotary pump by converting it from static to dynamic, which allows you to create a vacuum value in the main system of the installation in the required range of 8.7-2.0 x 10 (-3).
This pump is started only at the initial vacuum values of not less than 1.9-1.6 x 10(-1). During the production of carbon black, the pump is not switched off.
This pump is connected to the fine filter flange.
The pump is controlled via the control panel of the unit, using a frequency converter, by adjusting the speed for each of the stages of its operation.
Additionally, during the operation of the FSM machine for the production of carbon black, vacuum vortex pumps with a magnetic gearbox - blowers are used. A blower is a multifunctional type of equipment that provides the injection of gas masses to achieve the required gas dynamic flow in a closed loop, which makes it possible to carry out a stable technical process for the production of carbon black, in which the presence of a powerful gas flow is required.
For technologically correct connection of pumping equipment to the FSM machine, vacuum fittings with flanged connections of KF and ISO types are used, which in turn makes the machine system more hermetic and easy to maintain.
