The lid of the FSM reactor chamber is made of stainless steel with a thickness of 5 to 8 mm. and it has a zone for the coolant flow to cool the lid itself, as well as a forced temperature drop in the area of carbon black synthesis.

The reactor chamber lid is an element with a high temperature impact during the production of carbon black, as a result, this element requires periodic attention and qualified maintenance. It is also necessary to monitor the condition of the sealing rings of the current collector flange and the area where the lid fits to the reactor chamber.
