The graphite electrode input chamber is a complex of technological solutions constructed for stable and high-quality operation of the FSM machine at all stages of carbon black production, as well as during the preparation of the equipment for launch.

The input chamber is made of stainless steel, which allows you to maintain the technological geometry of the element during local heating.

To attach the input chamber to the reactor chamber, the element has a vacuum connection flange with holes of the next sizes:
- for FSM-500 / 500 VS – 5/16 " (metric – M8)
- for FSM-650 / 800 – 3/8” (metric – M10)

A vacuum pump is connected to the electrode input chamber, which removes the atmosphere (oxygen) during the feeding of the electrode to the reactor chamber, eliminating possible incorrect operation of the equipment. The input chamber is equipped with two blocks of sealing gaskets, which in all modes of preparation and operation of the FSM machine exclude the ingress of oxygen into the reactor chamber, and prevent the loss of an inert medium – helium gas.

ATTENTION!
Adjustment of the pressure of the seals gaskets in the input chamber is made only if the electrode is loaded into the chamber. Disassembly and assembly of the electrode input chamber must be carried out by a specialist permitted to work on this type of equipment.
